VAN DER MOLEN, based in Kissing near Augsburg, is one of the world’s leading suppliers of process technology for the beverage industry. The company is active in the industrial production of non-alcoholic beverages of all kinds, and specialises predominantly in the core processes of sugar solution, concentrate preparation, mixing and dosing of finished drink mixtures and aseptic treatment at all production stages.

Over more than 50 years, VAN DER MOLEN has established itself as one of the most important supply partners to beverage manufacturers, and its plant and equipment is used to produce beverages and foodstuffs safely, reliably and under the highest standards of quality. The world’s best known brands are among the company’s customers.

We acquired VAN DER MOLEN in December 2014 as part of a group spin-off from the Canadian water treatment group Ovivo, Inc.

OEKATECH, based in Bamberg, is an internationally leading manufacturer of metallic engineering components for leading automotive suppliers, as well as companies in the electrical and process engineering industries. The product portfolio includes precision deep drawn parts, overmoulded metal components and mounted assemblies, which are use in a variety of applications including control systems and drive systems for passenger and commercial vehicles.

Based on more than 100 years of expertise and state-of-the-art production techniques, OEKATECH can produce complex geometries, in large quantities, to the highest accuracy. The OEKA name has been synonymous with quality “Made in Germany” for more than 100 years.

As part of the spin-off of non-core businesses, we acquired OEKATECH in April 2016 from GEKA Group, a leading international manufacturer of brushes and applicators, for the cosmetics industry and other sectors. GEKA is part of the Swiss Sulzer Group.


Papierfabrik Scheufelen, based in Lenningen, is the European market leader for coated premium paper and cardboard, with expertise spanning over 160 years and exports around the world to more than 40 countries.

Scheufelen offers high-quality, coated premium cardboard boxes (phoenolux), coated fine paper (phoenixmotion), completely white, coated paper with a unique soft surface (heaven 42), coated gloss white paper (bvs) and roll-fed offset gloss white paper (bro).

These high-quality materials are used to produce a whole range of products in various sizes and weights including; picture books, brochures, books, trade magazines, information folders, annual reports, greeting cards, wall-mounted calendars, catalogues, premium packaging and mailing boxes. Special customised solutions are also regularly executed by Scheufelen.

In the course of refocussing on their pulp business, we acquired Scheufelen in April 2016 from Canadian Paper Excellence Group. Paper Excellence is part of Asia Pulp & Paper, a subsidiary of Sinar Mas, one of the largest paper and pulp producers in the world.
